The Personal Brochure – A Better First Impression

As a copywriter on the Design Concierge team, I help create personal brochures for agents looking to enhance their brand and increase their client base. These super high-quality brochures include contact info, eye-catching images and a bio. My job is to carefully craft engaging text that gives an accurate picture of the agent by describing their buying and selling strategies, credentials, community involvement and the types of properties they specialize in. But why is a personal brochure important? I’ll give you several reasons.

  • To make a good first impression. An agent told me once that her personal brochure is as important as the clothes she wears. Part of making a good first impression at, say, an open house is to look professional, and having copies of a personal brochure to hand out with the property details shows that the agent is prepared, capable and trustworthy.
  • To present the agent’s credentials. Agents don’t always have time to discuss all their qualifications with every person in the room, and most people won’t choose an agent based on a quick conversation. They want to see what the agent is all about and how they will help them reach their property goals. Even if the agent is relatively inexperienced, we create a bio that accentuates the positive and gets them noticed.
  • To generate new listings. Most agents know the importance of community involvement and attend as many events, fundraisers and activities as they can. These are perfect opportunities for the agent to expand their client base by giving out personal brochures and/or making them available at local businesses. Potential clients take the brochures home with them, and when the time comes to list their property, they’ve got your number.
  • To match a face with a story. Although it’s very easy to look up agents on the internet, it’s not easy to choose one. People thinking about buying their first home or investing in income property want an agent they feel they know. The personal brochure creates that connection between client and agent, establishing a relationship and building trust.

The Design Concierge team is committed to delivering a quality product that enhances the agent’s brand and increases their client base. A personal brochure is a sure-fire way to get noticed and create a lasting impression!
