What kind of research do you typically conduct before starting on a logo redesign?

When designing or refreshing a logo, I take a look at the current logo to identify what is and isn't working. It’s important for me to understand the target audience, messaging, competitors and brand positioning to develop a variety of creative concepts while adhering to essential design principles like balance, contrast and repetition.

What key elements do you typically focus on in logo transformations?

I prioritize adaptability and versatility, making sure the logo works seamlessly across several platforms. This involves using vector art, easy-to-read fonts and imagery that look great at any size. I also focus on the agent’s chosen colors and brand keywords to really make it pop.

How do you ensure that the real estate logos you design are unique and stand out from the competition?

Designing a logo that stands out from the competition can be a challenging process. I explore various design techniques, such as custom typography, bold color palettes and negative space, and work closely with clients to ensure the final design is perfect.

How do you stay up to date with current design trends in the real estate industry?

To keep up with the latest design trends, I look for inspiration in a variety of places, like Instagram and Pinterest. I love signage, especially neon signs, and I love watching movie intros and studying the various fonts and animation. I’m always experimenting with new ideas to incorporate the latest trends while also adding a unique touch to my work.
