Promoting Agents’ Diversity and Achievements

One of the best things The Studio can do to support agents is helping brokerages find ways to recognize them for their accomplishments. Our client, Coldwell Banker Realty, is very proud of the diversity of its affiliated agents across America. Just like our country, agents are diverse in race, ethnicity and sexual orientation, and The Studio’s marketing and public relations teams work hard to support them by promoting their achievements.

It all starts with making agents aware of some of the wonderful opportunities available to recognize them for both their outstanding sales performance and support of diversity and equal housing opportunities. Through our internal communications channels, The Studio regularly shares news about national organizations that compile annual awards lists, informing them of application details and deadlines well in in advance.

Long before these lists are released each summer, The Studio is busy planning, writing and designing promotional materials including social media assets, that winning agents can share with their sphere of influence. We want to make sure that all of the agents named to these lists get the recognition they deserve, so they can continue to build their personal brand and grow their business.

Here are a few of the organizations that honor agents each summer:

National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) Top 250 Latino Agent Awards: This year, Coldwell Banker was honored to have 45 affiliated agents recognized on this list, which recognizes outstanding Hispanic and Latino agents. However, many more agents were likely eligible but did not apply. Keep in mind that the annual NAHREP awards are open to agents who have an ethnic background of at least 25% Hispanic or Latino origin.

Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA) A-List: The A-List recognizes the accomplishments of its top-performing members. Agents do not need to be Asian to be eligible to apply or be nominated for a spot on AREAA’s A-List, but they must be members of AREAA for at least 12 months. Any agent who serves the Asian American or Pacific Island homeowners and communities is eligible to join.

National Association of Gay and Lesbian Real Estate Professionals (NAGLREP) Top LGBT+ Agent list: All NAGLREP members who are named to REAL Trends “The Thousand” list, which ranks the top agents in the U.S. in June, are automatically included on NAGLREP’s annual list. However, to be eligible, agents must be a member of NAGLREP, which advocates on behalf of the rights of the LGBT+ community as it relates to housing and discrimination laws.
